Heritage is what defines us as individuals. Please join us on May 14th to celebrate our cultural heritage!
Triangle Bangladesh Society, North Carolina (TBSNC) is hosting a cultural evening with Syed Abdul Hadi, a musical icon of Bangladesh and an award-winning vocal artist. He and his talented daughter Tonima Hadi will be our volunteer performers for the evening and their music will cover a wide range of genres such as Bangla Adhunik Gaan, Rabindra Sangeet, Pop Songs and Ghazals. The father-daughter duo will be supported by Himu Rozario, a renowned Tabla player from Maryland, and other local talented musicians.
The evening will begin with a light buffet at 7 pm. The musical performance begins at 7:30 pm.
The light buffet will be served in the kitchen area on cash payment basis. The tentative menu includes peas pilaf, chicken korma, mixed vegetable curry, Indian sweets, soft drinks and hot tea.
The event supports TBSNC, a non-profit community organization located in Cary, North Carolina. We are requesting $6 minimum donation per person (ages 12 and over), payable to Triangle Bangladesh Society at the door. We are also requesting current and new TBSNC members to pay their 2005 membership dues.
